After a death, grieving children and teens must make their way in a world marked by intense sadness, loneliness, and emptiness. Eventually feelings of loss including anger, guilt, resentment, fear, social withdrawal and depression may surface in unhealthy, unresolved ways in the weeks, months, and even years following a death. The Douglas Center for Hope and Healing will give children and their families many opportunities for sharing and self expression in healthy, positive ways.
"Douglas Center for Hope and Healing is extremely helpful for teens to express their grief and realte to other teens. It brings a connection that we don't have with others who don't fully understand what we are going through." -15 year old Douglas High Student
"Douglas Center for Hope and Healing is an amazing program that will continue to grow and assist those in & through their loss. Bless you all! -Adult Group Participant
